Basic properties: Usually white or slightly yellow powder, with a high melting point, generally above 100°C, and a decomposition temperature greater than 280°C. It has good thermal stability and hydrolysis resistance, and can maintain its light stabilization effect under different environmental conditions. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in some organic solvents, such as dichloromethane, etc., which makes it compatible with polymer materials.
Mechanism of action: Light stabilizer UV-944 mainly plays a light stabilizing role by capturing free radicals, decomposing peroxides, and quenching excited molecules. Application areas: Widely used in various polymer materials, such as polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.), polystyrene, ABS resin, polyoxymethylene, polyamide, etc. In plastic products, it can effectively prevent the aging phenomenon caused by light during long-term use of products and maintain the appearance and performance of the products. In the field of fibers, it can be used to improve the light resistance of fibers and prevent the fibers from fading and strength loss under sunlight. In addition, it is also used in rubber products, coatings, adhesives and other fields to improve the light stability and weather resistance of these materials.
Usage characteristics: It has a high-efficiency light stabilization effect and can significantly improve the light aging resistance of polymer materials. It has good synergistic effects with other additives (such as antioxidants, flame retardants, etc.), and its use can further improve the comprehensive performance of the material. At the same time, its addition amount is relatively low, generally between 0.1% - 1% (mass fraction), which can achieve a good light stabilization effect and will not have a significant negative impact on other properties of polymer materials.
