Application

Use 1: Iminodiethanol, also known as diethanolamine, is an intermediate of the herbicide glyphosate.
Use 2: Used as a gas purifier, and also as a raw material for synthetic drugs and organic synthesis
Use 3: Used as an analytical reagent, gas chromatography stationary liquid, softener and lubricant, and also used in organic synthesis
Use 4: Diethanolamine is mainly used as an absorbent of acidic gases such as CO2, H2S and SO2, a non-ionic surfactant, an emulsifier, a polishing agent, an industrial gas purifier, and a lubricant. It is used as a thickener and foam improver in shampoos and light detergents, and as a softener in the production of synthetic fibers and leather. Diethanolamine reacts with 70% sulfuric acid to dehydrate and cyclize to form morpholine (i.e., 1,4-oxazacyclohexane). Morpholine and diethanolamine are both intermediates in organic synthesis. For example, they can be used to produce certain optical bleaches in the textile industry. Morpholine's fatty acid salts can be used as preservatives. Morpholine can also be used to produce the central nervous system depressant or as a solvent. Diethanolamine is used as a reagent and gas chromatography stationary liquid in analytical chemistry.
