What is Baricitinib ?
Baricitinib, sold under the brand name Olumiant among others, is a drug for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in adults whose disease was not well controlled using RA medications called tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antagonists.
Function of Baricitinib
1. It is used for the treatment of moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in adults. Patients with intolerance to one or more anti-rheumatic drugs can be treated with this product. The efficacy of baricitinib in the treatment of psoriasis, diabetic nephropathy, atopic dermatitis, systemic lupus erythematosus and other diseases is currently in phase II clinical stage.
