Main uses:
Plasticizer field: It is the main raw material for the production of polyvinyl chloride heat-resistant plasticizer trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM). TOTM has good heat resistance and low volatility, and is widely used in PVC heat-resistant cables and other fields.
Resin synthesis field: It is used to prepare polyester resins, polyimide resins, etc. These resins have excellent heat resistance and electrical insulation properties, and can be used for insulation materials of F and H class motors, as well as molded plastic parts such as electrical components and jet engine parts.
Coatings: It can react with polyols and dicarboxylic acids to produce alkyd resin coatings with excellent performance. Thermoplastic alkyd resins are often used as primers for automobiles and electrical appliances, and room temperature curing resins are used in paints for industrial building materials. It can also be used to produce powder coatings for home appliances, bicycles and other places with high requirements for decoration and corrosion resistance.
Other fields: It can be used as an epoxy resin curing agent, which can cure epoxy resin in a short time and give the cured product excellent physical and chemical properties. It can also be used to manufacture advanced aviation lubricants, power capacitor impregnation oils, pellet binders, sizing agents, smoke suppressants, instantaneous binders, and can also be used as raw materials for synthetic dyes, heat-resistant varnishes, stabilizers, fiber softeners, surfactants, etc.
