Aluminum tripolyphosphate (ATP) is a new type of environmentally friendly functional inorganic fine chemical material with the characteristics of non-toxic, harmless and excellent anti-rust performance. It is a white powder, insoluble in water, with a density of 2-3g/cm³ and good thermal stability.
The molecular formula of aluminum tripolyphosphate is AIH2P3010, and its anti-rust group P30105- can form chelates with various metal ions to form a dense passivation film on the surface of the coated object, thereby effectively inhibiting corrosion.
Characteristics

Non-toxic and harmless: aluminum tripolyphosphate does not contain harmful heavy metal elements such as lead and chromium, has no irritation to the skin, and is safe to use.

Excellent anti-rust performance: Its anti-rust performance is better than traditional anti-rust materials such as red lead and zinc chrome yellow. Tripolyphosphate ion P30105-has a stronger chelating force on various metal ions, can form an excellent passivation film on the metal surface, and significantly inhibit corrosion

Wide range of application: suitable for various primers, primer-top coatings, varnishes, etc., can be used with a variety of pigments, fillers and anti-rust pigments, and suitable for various resin systems such as phenolic resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin, etc.

Environmental protection: As a new generation of pollution-free anti-rust pigments, aluminum tripolyphosphate gradually replaces traditional heavy metal anti-rust materials containing lead and chromium, which meets environmental protection requirements

Aluminum tripolyphosphate is widely used in various primers, primer-top coatings, varnishes, etc., suitable for solvent-based coatings such as phenolic resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin, acrylic resin, and water-soluble resin coatings. In addition, it is also used for thick paste coatings, powder coatings, organic titanium anti-corrosion coatings, rust-resistant coatings, fire-retardant coatings, heat-resistant coatings, etc.
