Sodium α-olefin sulfonate (AOS) is a high-foaming, hydrolytically stable anionic surfactant with excellent hard water resistance, low toxicity, mildness, low irritation and good biodegradability. It is a mixture made by SO3 sulfonation, neutralization and hydrolysis of α-olefins, mainly containing olefin sulfonates and hydroxyalkyl sulfonates. AOS is widely used in various washing and cosmetic products for its excellent emulsification, detergency and calcium soap dispersibility, good solubility, compatibility, easy biodegradability and low skin irritation. Especially in phosphorus-free detergents, AOS, as the preferred main raw material, not only maintains good washing ability, but also has good compatibility with enzyme preparations. It can be widely used in various household washing products such as phosphorus-free washing powder, liquid detergent, textile printing and dyeing industry, petrochemicals, industrial hard surface cleaning, etc.

The physical form of AOS can be powder or liquid, where the active matter content of the powder product is greater than 90%, while the active matter content of the liquid product is 35%. This surfactant is highly safe, mild to the skin, and does not cause allergic reactions, so it is also suitable for personal care products such as shampoo, shower gel, facial cleanser, etc. In addition, AOS also has good wetting, foaming and emulsifying properties, which make it an ideal choice for a variety of industrial and household cleaning products.
