Application

Telmisartan specifically blocks the binding of angiotensin II (Ang II) to AT1 receptors, inhibiting vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, thereby effectively reducing peripheral vascular resistance and achieving stable blood pressure reduction. Due to its unique lipid soluble structure, telmisartan can be more deeply distributed in the blood vessel wall and heart tissue, providing long-lasting antihypertensive effects. In addition, it can also reduce oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction, and has a protective effect on cardiovascular and kidney, especially for hypertension patients with diabetes, metabolic syndrome or cardiac insufficiency. Clinical studies have shown that telmisartan also has certain benefits in reducing left ventricular hypertrophy and improving resistance.
