Oleic acid amide, also known as Oleic acid amide or Oleamide, is an unsaturated fatty amide with a chemical formula of C18H35NO and a molecular weight of 281.477 g/mol. It usually exists as a white crystalline or granular solid with a polymorphic structure and is odorless.

Chemical properties
Oleic acid amide is easily hydrolyzed in the presence of acid, alkaline solution or enzyme catalyst to produce oleic acid and ammonia. In addition, when it is heated with a strong dehydrating agent such as phosphorus pentoxide, it will dehydrate to form a nitrile. Oleic acid amide also has multiple functions such as anti-adhesion, slip, slip enhancement, leveling, waterproof, moisture-proof, anti-precipitation, anti-fouling, anti-static and dispersion, and is relatively stable to heat, oxygen and ultraviolet rays.
Uses
Oleic acid amide is widely used in many fields:
Plastic processing: As a lubricant and release agent, it is used in the processing of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP) and other resins to reduce the melt viscosity of resin particles and improve fluidity.
Fiber treatment: Used as a slip and antistatic agent for PU surface treatment agent and fiber masterbatch 5.
Ink and plastic printing: As an anti-adhesive and leveling agent, it is used in plastic surface printing (composite) ink and PE thermoplastic dipping powder.
