Basic information
Chemical name: 1-cyclopropyl-7-(4-ethyl-1-piperazinyl)-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid hydrochloride.
Molecular formula: C19H22FN3O3HCl.
Properties: This product is a white or slightly yellow crystalline powder, odorless, slightly bitter, slightly soluble in water

Pharmacological action
Mechanism of action: It inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, hinders DNA synthesis, causes bacterial death, and thus exerts a bactericidal effect.
Antibacterial spectrum: It has strong antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It has a good inhibitory effect on pathogens such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Brucella, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus aureus, and Mycoplasma.

Clinical application
It is mainly used to treat bacterial infections and mycoplasma infections in livestock and poultry. Such as Escherichia coli disease, Salmonella disease, Pasteurella disease, and Mycoplasma pneumonia infection in pigs; Escherichia coli disease, pullorum disease, chronic respiratory disease in chickens; Pasteurella disease and mastitis in cattle and sheep.

Adverse reactions
It may cause gastrointestinal reactions, such as loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
It may affect the cartilage development of young animals, causing lameness, joint swelling, etc.
Long-term or large-scale use may cause bacterial resistance.

Precautions
It is prohibited for animals allergic to quinolones.
It should not be used in dogs under 8 weeks of age because it may affect cartilage development.
When used with other drugs, interactions may occur. For example, when used with antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, their absorption will be affected. Simultaneous use should be avoided.
Withdrawal period: The withdrawal period for different animals is different. For example, it is generally 7 days for pigs and chickens, and 10 days for cattle. The specific withdrawal period should be implemented according to relevant regulations to ensure the safety of animal products.
