Chlortetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline class of drugs. It exerts antibacterial effects by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and is often used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis, trachoma, skin infections and some respiratory tract infections.
