Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear water-soluble polymer with a chemical formula of (C3H5NO)n and a molecular weight range of 1×10^4 to 2×10^7. It is formed by free radical-initiated polymerization of acrylamide monomers, has strong water solubility and chemical activity, can form hydrogen bonds with other materials, and is easy to graft or cross-link to obtain branched or network structure modified derivatives.
